Lithuanian language group courses (A1 – B1)

In 2022, Vilnius University was looking for volunteers who would help out the Ukrainian refugees. Like everyone else, I felt very hopeless at the time. Since I love learning languages myself, this seemed like the only opportunity I could to meaningfully help. The volunteers were blessed with quick training from the best Lithuanian language professors who have dedicated their life to teaching Lithuanian for foreigners.

Meanwhile, I discovered a new passion. Today, I offer Lithuanian language group courses, as well as individual lessons.

A1.1 group course

No openings

• Suitable for those starting from scratch.
• Only 180€ for three months, you’re able to pay in instalments (60 per month).
• The most necessary materials provided by me (also prepared by me).
• We learn to talk about our origin (nationality, iš + Genitive, languages), describe our location (kur? – locative case, prie + Genitive) or our family (-i type verbs, accusative and genitive, adjectives).
• Online / Google Meet.

A1.2 group course

Registration opens on August 1.

• Suitable for those who have learned to talk about their origin (nationality, iš + Genitive, languages), describe their location (kur? – locative case, prie + Genitive) or their family (-i type verbs, accusative and genitive, adjectives).
• Only 165€ for three months, with ability to pay in instalments (55 per month).
• The most necessary materials provided by me (also prepared by me).
• We will be learning to order at the market or cafe, which includes Partitive Genitive vs Accusative, -o type verbs, future and past tense, imperatives, instrumental case (to describe desired or undesired fillings for your bun 🙂
• Online / Google Meet.

A2.1 group course

Registration opens on August 1.

• Suitable for those who feel confident in talking about their origin, location, family, are able to place an order at the cafe or in the shops.
• Only 165€ for three months, with ability to pay in instalments (55 per month)
• The most necessary materials provided by me (also prepared by me)
• You will learn how to show directions or advise which bus to take, tell left from right in Lithuanian; vocabulary relevant for every traveller (car parts, petrol station, car rental and booking (and its duration which we use the sneaky Dative for). We will learn to describe our apartments, offices, housing, describe the weather, in the end we will go shopping for more than just essentials.
